Dear God,
I’m sorry I haven’t returned your phone calls. I have no right to expect so much and communicate so little. I know that we talk all day on and off, but I have to devote some time to you specifically because you are so worth it. You stop what you’re doing and give me attention when I need it, and I haven’t done the same. I am so unworthy of your blessings, but you keep opening the storehouses for me. I will do better. I live to serve you Lord, and this thing is so not about me. Direct me where you would have me to go, and I will be confident in knowing that ALL things are working together for my GOOD. All the dreams I have, and they don’t even come CLOSE to what you have in store for me if I trust and believe you. I apologize for being spiritually anorexic and I will do better. Only by giving you the time and attention you deserve, will you give me the desires of my heart. I thank you for never turning away from me, and for reminding me of that when the devil tries to convince me that I’ve “really done it this time”. I love you Lord.

Do you know that every heartache is a preamble to a breakthrough?
Do you know that I know every tear that falls from your eyes?
Do you know that I would do ANYTHING for you?
Do you know that I will NEVER lie to you?
Do you know that prayers were prayed for you back in slave days that I am STILL honoring?
Do you know that you are the hope of housecleaners, plumbers, and sharecroppers? And that to NOT bless and protect you would be to not honor their prayers which is something I am incapable of doing?
Do you know that everything you see as defeat is actually victory in progress?
Do you know that if you EVER want to talk to me, just start talking.
Do you know that I am your BEST friend?
Do you know that I am with you even when you feel most distant and that I can hear you even when all you have left is a groan?
Do you know that I will NEVER leave you, nor forsake you, and that I will be with you ALL the days of your life.
Most importantly, Do you know that I know the plans I have for you? Plans to prosper you and NOT to harm you. Plans to give you HOPE and a Future?
Just in case you forgot any of this, I left you a book, read it sometimes.
