Knowing your Limits

It is apparently baby season. Which I guess, to be fair, for the ttc EVERY season may seem like baby season. Everyone is glowing, everyone is blossoming and all the new babies are more adorable than ever before. Or at least it seems that way.

Sigh.

So, I got caught up today. I was looking through the photo albums and online journals of friends who have recently been blessed with new additions and it started to get me. When that first glimmer of heat hits your eyelids, you gotta know what’s coming…So, had to close the browser. I’m pretty sure this is something they should teach when you initially begin ttc. Someone should come in and counsel you as soon as the doc fills out your fertility prescription.
“Take 500 milligrams of this and…do NOT watch A baby Story, Birth Day or shop the baby aisle at Target”.

Its a very fine line between being supportive of others and protecting yourself from unnecessary discomfort. I was always taught that to be blessed yourself, you should be happy for those around you when they are blessed. And I am…but to a point. If I overload myself with every baby shower, children’s book, AND photo album, I could severely damage myself. LOL

So this post is for knowing your limits…I’ll drink to that.
