The transparency for which this blog has gained its momentum is not as easy a feat to uphold as some may think. It is dreadfully hard for me to decide what to share boldly, and what to let fester in the corners of my mind for fear that I’ll run you guys all away.
I don’t know that pregnant women understand the work that goes into trying to be genuinely happy for them sometimes. We stifle all our feelings and sadness trying to do our best to put on a happy face and think about the bigger picture. Then they go and %$& it up by being jerks about the whole thing.
On September 17, 2010, there was a night of outstanding and touching advocacy and awareness for infertility and adoption as it affects the African American community. A gathering of patients, supporters and doctors, all came together to celebrate and cultivate the amazing community built by The Broken Brown Egg. A year of planning, a generous sponsorship, oh and a night of almost going to jail…led to this unforgettable evening. Finally, I’m recapping the Awareness.Hope.Activism gala!

Well, if you’ve been to The Egg before, and you’ve heard me rant, you already know the answer. However for our new friends and guests who may not understand, I will happily enlighten you. What could an infertility site possibly have to say about an initiative like No Wedding No Womb? Quite a lot, actually.
